Phan Huu Ich(1751-1822) was a great accomplished figure in Vietnamese diplomatic history, and his 500 poems and 400 literary works are important resources for the study of Vietnamese literary history. Phan Huu Ich was born on December 12, 1751 to a prestigious family in Thu Hoach, Thach Chau, Loc Ha, Ha Tinh Province. After that, he moved to Sai Son, the current Quoc Oai in Hanoi. At the time of birth, his name was Phan Cong Hau. But it was renamed Phan Huu Ich. He is a great man comparable to Seo Hee in Korean history. During the Goryeo Dynasty, 800,000 troops of Kitan(907- 1125) led by the command of So Son-nyeong invaded Goryeo. In the face of the national crisis, Seo Hee went to the enemy camp with a single body and negotiated with So Son-nyeong to retreat the troops. Phan Huu Ich served the fake king Pham Cong Tri, who was sent as a congratulatory envoy on behalf of Quang Trung at the 80th birthday feast of the Qing Dynasty in 1790 and resolved diplomatic issues smoothly to prevent another invasion of the Qing Dynasty. Phan Huu Ich is regarded as a master in Vietnamese diplomatic history, and his literary works are an invaluable resource for the study of Vietnamese literature. In the future, the study of Phan Huu Ich who played a historical role in the exchange history with the Korean people at the end of the 18th century, his literary works and diplomatic activities will be necessary and his achievement will be more widely known
